Customer Rating: Summary: Damaged Comment: Amazing keyboard, when i firat opened it noticed that the number 2 and 3 keys were not on the board the were somewhere in the box. i have had laptops for about 7 years now so by now i know how to reinsert the keys that pop out.
Once the keys were reinserted just pressed connect on the USB key and the keyboard and voila i was done, everything works as advertised and the backlight when using the mouse is simply amazing.
Because i had to reinsert the key myself i am giving it 4 out of 5 stars, i am just glad it was something simple to rectify.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Choice Comment: I have had my PC connected to our HDTV for a couple of years now and it was always a pain to sit-down with the keyboard and discover that the mouse is somewhere else. Not anymore. The Logitech diNovo Edge has worked thus far as it claims to. It's compact, clean looking, easy to use, and can easily be tucked away when needed. I used it with my MacBook Pro via bluetooth and my PC with Vista via the USB adapter. I didn't have to do anything special when installing it on the MacBook outside of the bluetooth wizard, but I did have to uninstall all other keyboard and mouse drivers on the PC with Vista before using the Logitech diNovo Edge.
Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect for when your living room becomes your office Comment: With daughter #2 reaching the age where she needed her own room, I was banished from my office and forced (gently:) to move my entire desk and computer setup into the living room. When that happened, the diNovo Edge was my compensation / consolation prize.
On the plus side:
- No more ugly MS keyboards for me! This thing looks great in the living room!
- The keys are wonderful (perfect for me as a touch typist).
- I can use it with multiple machines through my KVM (an Iogear Miniview GCS1204) via its USB 2.0 hub.
On the minus side:
- The touchpad isn't much use to me, since I've got an MX Revolution mouse right next to it. I would much rather have a numeric keypad, which I use infrequently but still waaaay more than the touchpad.
- The wristrest isn't that comfortable relative to most other keyboards. The Logitech logo on the brushed aluminum looks cool but scratches my palms.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice design, but useless (for me) as it loses connections Comment: I recently purchased this item to replace a DiNovo Media keyboard that I have had for 2 years and loved. Big mistake! While I like the design, and the very tactile and positive yet low profile keyboard, it simply won't work for me, since every time I am away from the keyboard for a while, it goes to sleep and loses the bluetooth connection. I am using the built in bluetooth, which worked well with the former keyboard. I don't like or wish to have extra plugin devices.
I will be returning this item unless technical support can find a fix, although as of now, I am not optimistic as they sent me solutions for a different keyboard even though I had provided the serial and model number.
Update: Several email conversations with technical support failed to resolve my problem. They didn't seem to understand that I was trying to use the internal bluetooth connection. I did try the supplied receiver, and must confess that this worked extremely well, in fact more responsive that my previous DiNovo Media keyboard.
Customer Rating: Summary: This Keyboard Rocks! Comment: I use this keyboard with my Dell M1530 laptop and Windows Vista. The main reason for having the Logitech was to connect the laptop to my flat panel TV and use the Bluetooth keyboard remotely. The DiNovo works very well, and it is also one elegant piece of equipment. The keyboard is very thin and rests in its charging station when not in use. The workmanship is excellent, looks and feels high end. The mousepad works well. The battery lasts forever it seems.
